Our School
There are almost 400
students at
Moody Jr. High School. Moody is located about 15 miles east of Birmingham,
Alabama. We are the "Blue Devils" and have the #1 Scholar Bowl team in the
County, the #2 Cheerleading Squad in the State of Alabama, and have fantastic
sport teams in softball, baseball, cross country, wrestling, basketball, soccer,
and more. Our dedicated teachers not only teach the

normal subjects, but have electives in
chess, line design, web design, drama, music appreciation, art, crafts, and many
more.

MJHS Wins a $5,000
GRANT from LOWE'S!!!
Lowe’s Charitable and Educational
Foundation has awarded a $5,000.00 Toolbox for Education grant to Moody Jr. High
School for
renovation of the front area of their school entrance making a "Reading Garden"
available to their students. Moody Jr. High School is one of more than
1,000 schools or parent organizations to be awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for
Education grant for improvement projects benefiting K-12 public education
across the United States during the 2008-2009 school year.
